Priyanka Chopra Reveals Daughter Malti Marie's Surprising Taste in Music and an Accidental Offense to John Cena
Priyanka Chopra is currently preparing for the release of her upcoming film, Heads Of State, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba. The actress recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, where she discussed her film and her current life.
She shared that her daughter, Malti Marie, now attends school, and her schedule is even busier than Priyanka's. Chopra also mentioned that she had been filming a movie in India, but the family had to be in New York due to Nick Jonas's Broadway commitments.
Discussing Malti further, Priyanka revealed that her daughter has developed a taste for music. "She’s the light of our lives," Priyanka said, describing Malti as a little comedian. Recounting a recent trip to Disney World, she shared that Malti loves Moana. “She wears her Moana dress all day long,” Priyanka said, noting that Moana 2 is currently one of her favorite films.
However, Malti's musical preferences extend beyond Disney. “She listens to ‘APT’—that’s her jam,” Priyanka said, singing a few lines with Jimmy Fallon. “It’s her morning anthem. Every single day.”
Jimmy Fallon inquired whether Malti ever listens to her father's music. Priyanka laughed and responded, “I don’t think she recognizes them yet. But she does call them the Doughnut Brothers,” a remark that amused everyone.
Fallon joked, “You need to trademark that right now. I’d totally buy that merch. Doughnut Brothers dolls? Move over, Labubu.”
Transitioning to Heads Of State, Priyanka recounted an incident where she inadvertently offended John Cena. She explained, "They’re both the most incredible guys. I was very nervous. John is like the opposite of what I expected. I’d never met him before."
To ease the tension, Priyanka attempted a joke, referencing Cena's famous "You can’t see me" meme. She said, "You know, I came in expecting not to see him,” and then performed the pose in front of him.
It was then that Idris Elba subtly signaled her to stop. "I was like, now I’ve offended him," said PC. Idris later informed her that John doesn't appreciate it when people perform the pose directly at him.
